Uni Games 07 - Canterbury wins the Shield
The University of Canterbury regained the coveted Uni Games Shield after this year’s event held 10-13 April in Christchurch. Canterbury, with a 600 strong team, won the overall title for the first time since 1999 edging a strong Otago team into second place, narrowly ahead of Victoria in third. Lincoln University had their best ever Games performance finishing 5th, winning the Small Campus Trophy in the process. Massey Wellington were awarded the Team Spirit Award.
The Games had its highest ever attendance, attracting over 2,500 participants from USNZ’s ten member Universities as well as 40 competitors from the Queensland University of Technology.
